ORO DE LOS ANDES
The gold of the Andes.
This exquisite handwoven throw is made 100% with vicuña, the world’s finest, rarest natural yarn. Its glossy golden brown color is the natural hue of the fibers, and its brightness gives the piece a distinguished appearance.
Vicuña is known as the fiber of the Gods, measuring only twelve microns. It’s the finest animal fiber in the world, and during Inca times it was reserved for royalty.
Because of the quality of the fiber, this throw feels warm, light and soft to the touch, the closest thing to touching the clouds

VICUÑA BLANCA
Rarer than rare.
This exquisite handwoven throw is made 100% with White Vicuña, a textile developed by Ayma by separating a minimum quantity of the white part of the fiber, found on the underside of the animal.
Just a few grams of this fiber per animal can be obtained every two years. The result is an incredible mantle of a rare light beige tone with an incomparable brightness. Truly unique.

VICUÑA AUSTRAL
The wonderful natural colors of the Southern Vicuña. A special design that pays homage to the princess of the Andes.
The Vicuña Austral or Southern Vicuña is one of the two species that exist in the world and is found only in Argentina and part of Bolivia. Unlike the Northern Vicuña, which lives mainly in Peru and has reddish colored hair, the Southern Vicuña´s hair is lighter.
This handwoven throw displays an exquisite chromatic palette, achieved by Ayma’s original combination of light brown and beige fibers.

VICUÑA ROJA
Red Vicuña, a one-of-a-kind textile created by Ayma following an ancient method used by the Andean people.
Made in looms from the 19th century, this handwoven and hand-dyed blanket is made 100% with vicuña. Its unique rich red color is achieved by using cochineal ink, an insect that grows on cactuses in America and was used by the ancient Andean people to dye their textiles hundreds of years ago.
A true timeless jewel.
