Capes & Tunics

Ayma's tunics and capes, as well as its coats, are handcrafted using traditional tailoring, haute couture and embroidery techniques.

NASH CAPE

This unique cape it’s made of 100% Patagonian merino wool in a rich cream shade and finished with authentic black Argentine leather, handcrafted using traditional techniques.

It’s a classic and sophisticated textile with a delicate herringbone pattern.

LLAWQHA CAPE

The Llawqha cape was crafted using traditional tailoring and haute couture techniques. The fabric used to make this garment was handcrafted on 19th-century looms at Ayma’s historic weaving mill.

KAI CAPE

The cape Kai was made in hand-looms from the 19th century in our textile mill with artisanal techniques.

Its warp and weave were created with superfine merino wool and cashmere. Its pattern is an elegant herringbone finished with a trim of authentic Argentinean leather.

EMBROIDERED TUNIC

This unique tunic was handcrafted using traditional tailoring methods.

It’s made of superfine Patagonian merino wool in its natural color and has handmade embroidery made with guanaco fiber, adding a subtle yet distinctive detail.

KAPENKEN CAPE

This piece is made with superfine Patagonian merino wool, interwoven by hand with strips of authentic leather using Ayma's signature technique.

The blend of fine fibers with the leather gives structure to the cape, and the vibrant combination of tones makes it a distinctive and elegant garment.

EPOLENK TUNIC

The Epolenk tunic was handcrafted in our atelier following traditional tailoring methods. Likewise, the fabric was woven by hand on looms from the 19th century. Its weft is made of pure cotton and its warp is made of superfine Patagonian merino wool. Its design is composed of an elegant twill pattern and details of leather.

ÚLEN CAPE

This piece is made of 100% Patagonian merino wool in gray and black, with an authentic Argentine leather purple trim that gives it a unique touch.

It’s a classic and sophisticated piece with a barracán pattern: an ancestral textile typical of northern Argentina believed to have been introduced by the Jesuits and spread by indigenous peoples over 400 years ago.

ESKAT TUNIC

The Eskat tunic was handcrafted in our atelier following traditional tailoring methods. Also, the herringbone pattern fabric was woven on 19th century handlooms with superfine Patagonian merino wool.

Handwoven

Our textile mill is a nineteenth century factory that still holds some of the world’s most antique textile machineries. Its looms and its history belong to the antique Buenos Aires.
